Though they can shapeshift, they can only really change into Hedwig, Harry Potter's owl. One, in the history of Striga, was able to turn into a Bottlenose Dolphin, but it died quickly after that due to the landlocked nature of Romania. Their invisibility powers only last for 3 minutes, and during that time the Striga is powerless. They are moderately more improved in physical matters than a human. As typical of vampires, they like to suck blood. However, they're favorite snack is any kind of cereal that is left out for a week to become stale. It is eaten straight from a bowl with no milk.

Jure Grando Alilović was said to be a Striga, though details are unclear on how he became one. After having risen from the dead, he became a dick (it's unclear if he was a dick prior to becoming a Striga). He would go on to murder many people in his village after having ding-dong-ditched them or other similar pranks, and even sexually assault his wife, but only when she was in front of a mirror so he could watch it happen. He smirked a lot, as if he had just watch [[Max Keeble's Big Move]] on VHS.
